Escape the crowded shoreline of Matsushima Bay waterfront and be taken by local fishing boat to your own private oasis – a floating raft anchored in a secluded area of the bay!
Waiting on your raft will tables, chairs, a marquee and a seafood feast! Choose from a tasty of menu featuring local Matsushima Bay oysters: from fresh oysters (if in season, Nov-March), to grilled on a BBQ or in a tasty hot-pot.
With a satisfied stomach, return to shore with the afternoon free to explore the many temples, tea houses and cultural highlights of the Matsushima Bay waterfront area.
**This tour package also includes a one-way bus ticket between Matsushima Bay and Sendai International Airport. The plan outlined below is for the case of taking the morning bus from Sendai Airport to Matsushima. However, the package can be easily arranged to fit with the schedule for the afternoon bus traveling from Matsushima Bay back to Sendai International Airport.**
Board the ‘Sendai Airport-Matushima-Hiraizumi Guided Liner’ bus from Sendai Airport, heading to Matsushima Bay.
Arrive at ‘Matsushima Bussan-kan’ and alight the bus.
Make your way to the nearby sightseeing boat jetty along the Matushima Bay waterfront.
A local fisherman will pick you up in their boat and take you to the floating raft.

Enjoy the beautiful 360° views over the islands of Matsushima Bay as you tuck-in to a seafood feast!
