Next, enjoy nature’s own art display, in the form of illuminated frozen waterfalls and ice formations along Oirase mountain stream. Drive to some of the highlights with your nature guide in the passenger seat to fill you in along the way. Enjoy two major light-up events in one evening on this round-trip course between Towada Modern Art Museum → Oirase mountain stream → Nenokuchi (turn around point) → Oirase mountain stream → Towada City centre.

Meet at Towada Art Museum.
Meet your interpreter/guide at the Towada Art Museum. Here you’ll have the chance to explore the grounds of the museum at night, enjoy three special artworks – “Flying Man and Hunter” , “Even Shetia” and the famous “Colorful Fragments” – which can only be seen at night!
The second half of the tour also features artistic illumination, this time created by nature!
Jump aboard a special bus-tour that will take you through the beautiful ‘Oirase Keiryu’ mountain stream area. Particularly famous as one of Tohoku’s best locations to view the colourful Autumn foliage, Oirase Keiryu is no less beautiful during the winter when its many waterfalls and rapids transform into a magical winter wonderland. In the evenings (between January – March) the frozen waterfalls are illuminated, creating nature’s on art show!
The bus tour course is as follows: Towada City Museum of Contemporary Art -Oirase mountain stream -Konoguchi (return point) -Oirase mountain stream -Towada city center.
Return to Towada City centre. Tour ends after bus tour.
