TOUR COURSE

15:00

Meet at Higashi-Shiogama Station on the JR Senseki Line.

Local fisherman Sakurai-san will be waiting to pick you up (5 min drive to guesthouse)!

15:30

After checking-in to the seaside guesthouse get ready to get out on the water!

Spend a couple of hours on the fishing boat with Sakurai-san, experiencing local fishing activities like :

Net-fishing for Japanese blue crab

Drive-in net fishing experience

(other fishing experiences may be available with prior consultation)

18:00

Embrace your inner adventurer and head to a deserted island in the Rifu area of Matsushima Bay.

Fry-up your fresh catch of the day on a BBQ and wash it down with some beer or local sake.

Sit back, relax and enjoy the rare chance to take-in night views of Matsushima Bay from the water.

20:00

Return to shore and enjoy a good night’s rest at Sakurai-san’s local guesthouse.

Soak in the bath before making yourself comfortable in your traditional futon on tatami matting.

**Optional extra (at 5000 yen per person)**

Hop on another local boat and be taken out to a secluded bay for a SUP(Stand Up Paddle-boarding)experience on the calm morning sea.

09:00

Enjoy local Japanese breakfast at the guesthouse before being driven back to Higashi-Shiogama Station.

＊Option to extend stay with additional fishing/marine activity experience available by consultation.

10:30: Experience ends at Higashi-Shiogama Station.
