Matsushima Bay is famous as one of the three most scenic spots in Japan; it has been selected as one of the World’s Most Beautiful Bays Club and has over 300 islands that make up its beautiful scenery. On this tour, you will walk the highlights of the world-famous Michinoku Coastal Trail, a 1,000-kilometer-plus seaside trail route. This is a cultural trek to learn about the topography and vegetation of the island and feel the local way of life. Enjoy a cup of delicious coffee when you encounter the beautiful scenery.

Meet your guide at Hon-Shiogama Station. Transfer to the boat pier on foot (approx 10 min).
Take a boat to the first island（approx 15 mins).
We will then trek to several islands, crossing them by ferry.

Bring a change of clothes and a towel. The tour will be held even if it rains. Lightweight camping chairs will be provided; a 20-liter backpack will be helpful. If you do not have one, please contact us.
