Escape the city for a rejuvenating weekend in beautiful coastal Miyagi. Reconnect with nature and get you fill of ‘vitamin sea’ as you walk sections of the Michinoku Coastal Trail and explore the sacred wilderness of Kinkasan Island. Ten years following the Great East Japan Earthquake and Tsunami, experience first-hand the incredible recovery of the coastal region and be inspired by the resilient and hopeful spirit of the local people. In Miyagi you will be welcomed not as a visitor, but as one of the locals yourself, as you share meals and moments together. Highlights include a tasting session and special course dinner designed in collaboration with Otokoyama Honten Sake Brewery and a feast of fresh local oysters and scallops at a waterfront oyster shack.
Overnight accommodation at Kesennuma Plaza Hotel (single room), English speaking guide and cost of transport from / back to departure point (JR Sendai Station) are covered in the tour fee.
Meet your guide and group in front of the stained glassed windows on the 2F of JR Sendai Station.

Your guide will show you around the several ‘power spots’ of Koganeyama Shrine. The deities of this shrine are said to grant worshippers with financial fortune, especially if you visit over three consecutive years!
For lunch, feast on a delicious ‘obento’ lunchbox of fresh sushi! (Vegetarian options available)
